#Psychology_Courses 26-lecture Course: Social Psychology: Self and Society, UC Berkeley (Part I) About the Course: This course offers a broad survey of the various theories and perspectives advanced in social psychology. Social psychology is a field which bridges sociology and psychology and is primarily concerned with how individuals view and interact with one another in everyday life. The class is organized around a survey of the great ideas from the history of social psychology. We will study social psychological research on a wide variety of topics including conformity, obedience, identity, power, status, and interpersonal perception. About Professor: Robb Willer is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Sociology, Psychology (by courtesy), and the Graduate School of Business (by courtesy) at Stanford University. He received his Ph.D. and M.A. in Sociology from Cornell University and his B.A. in Sociology from the University of Iowa. He previously taught at the University of California, Berkeley.
